The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced that the NEET-PG 2025 examination will be conducted in a single shift on 3rd August 2025 (Sunday), following the approval of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. In a significant move to accommodate all candidates fairly and uniformly, NBEMS will increase the number of examination cities across the country. This expansion aims to ensure a smooth and logistically feasible single-shift examination process.
To facilitate this updated plan, candidates are required to re-submit their choice of exam city through a new application window. The application form for selecting exam cities will be available from 13th June 2025 (03:00 PM) to 17th June 2025 (11:55 PM). During this period, candidates will be shown only those cities where testing seats are available, based on real-time updates. The allotment of the examination venue within the selected city will be handled solely by NBEMS.
Candidates must note that the selection of exam city will be on a First Come, First Serve basis. Hence, it is strongly advised to complete the selection process at the earliest to secure a preferred location. The updated list of available cities will be displayed within the application form interface.
The timeline for the NEET-PG 2025 is as follows:
- Re-Submission of Exam City Application: 13.06.2025 to 17.06.2025
- City Allotment Notification: 21.07.2025
- Release of Admit Cards: 31.07.2025
- Date of Examination: 03.08.2025 (09:00 AM – 12:30 PM)
- Declaration of Results: By 03.09.2025
The exact exam venue details will be provided in the admit cards, and candidates are responsible for making their own travel, accommodation, and related arrangements. This centralized and streamlined format is aimed at maintaining exam integrity and reducing logistical discrepancies.
