The Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL), a premier establishment under the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), has opened applications for its six-month paid internship programme for 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for highly meritorious students to gain hands-on research experience in defence technology and innovation.
The internship is open to final-year B.E./B.Tech students and second-year M.Sc students pursuing full-time courses in Engineering or Science from AICTE/UGC-recognized Indian universities or institutes. Candidates must have a consistent academic record with a minimum of 75% marks or a CGPA of 7.5 and above to be eligible. Applicants must be below 28 years of age and submit a referral letter from the Principal or Director of their institution.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS:
- Duration: Six months (from 1st August 2025)
- Stipend: ₹30,000 total, disbursed in two installments:
- ₹15,000 after 3 months
- ₹15,000 after successful completion of 6 months
- Stipend eligibility requires a minimum of 15 days attendance per month and completion of the entire six-month term
SELECTION PROCESS:
Shortlisted students will be informed about joining procedures, which also include submission of an indemnity bond. The final selection will be based on academic performance and institutional recommendation.
CERTIFICATION:
Interns who complete the full six-month term and successfully pass the evaluation of their project work will be awarded a Completion Certificate from NSTL-DRDO, adding significant value to their academic and professional portfolio.
