The Central Sanskrit University (CSU), Delhi, a premier institution dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Sanskrit and Indian knowledge traditions, has announced the invitation of online applications for the award of scholarships under the Scheme for Promotion of Sanskrit for the academic year 2025–2026.
This scholarship scheme is open to students who are regularly studying Sanskrit, Pali, or Prakrit as a main or optional subject. Eligible students must be enrolled in recognized Sanskrit Pothashalas, Sanskrit Mahavidyalayas, Sanskrit Vishwavidyalayas in the traditional stream or in schools, colleges, and universities under the modern stream.
The scholarship is available for the following levels of study:
- Purva-Madhyama (1st year)/9th Standard
- Purva-Madhyama (2nd year)/10th Standard
- Uttar-Madhyama / Prak-Shastri (1st year)/11th Standard
- Uttar-Madhyama / Prak-Shastri (2nd year)/12th Standard
- Shastri / B.A. (1st, 2nd, or 3rd year)
- Acharya / M.A. (1st or 2nd year)
- Vidyavaridhi / Ph.D. or equivalent courses
The online application window opens on 1st April 2025, and the last date to submit the application is 30th September 2025. Candidates are advised to apply well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues.
Applications must be submitted online only, through the official website of Central Sanskrit University.
