The Radiological Physics and Advisory Division (RP&AD) of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has invited online applications for admission to the 63rd Diploma in Radiological Physics (DipRP) course. This esteemed course is conducted under the aegis of the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a deemed university based in Mumbai. The course is set to commence in the first week of August 2025, with 30 seats available for admission.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible, candidates must have an M.Sc. in Physics with at least 60% aggregate marks obtained through a full-time program. Additionally, applicants must hold a B.Sc. degree with Physics as the main subject, also with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. Candidates with an integrated M.Sc. (Physics) degree through a full-time program are also eligible. Those appearing for their final M.Sc. exams or awaiting results may apply as well.
ADMISSION PROCESS
Admission for non-sponsored candidates will be based on a written test followed by an interview. The written test is scheduled for June 22, 2025 (Sunday) at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai – 400 094. The test will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with negative marking and will be of 1.5 hours duration. Admit cards will be available online two weeks before the exam. The results will be declared on the same day, and shortlisted candidates will be interviewed from June 23 to June 25, 2025.
STIPEND, FEES, AND FACILITIES
Each selected non-sponsored candidate will receive a stipend of ₹30,000 per month for the duration of the one-year course. Hostel accommodation will be provided at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai. Upon admission, candidates must pay a non-refundable admission fee of ₹6,000 and a refundable caution deposit of ₹2,000 in cash.
Admission is subject to the candidates being declared medically fit by BARC Hospital, Mumbai. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a Post M.Sc. Diploma in Radiological Physics by the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI).
