The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has introduced a digital platform known as the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS) to streamline the admission process for students seeking entry into Intermediate (Class 11) courses for the 2025-26 academic session. Through this system, students can apply for various streams—Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, and Vocational courses—across schools and colleges affiliated with the BSEB in all 38 districts of Bihar.
The OFSS system offers a centralized and simplified Common Application Form (CAF), accessible online from any location with internet connectivity. This initiative marks a significant step toward promoting transparency and convenience in the education system. Students who have successfully passed the matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent examinations conducted by the BSEB, CBSE, ICSE, or any recognized state or national board are eligible to apply through this platform.
The admission process for Class 11 via OFSS will be open from 24th April 2025 to 3rd May 2025.
Applicants are required to fill in the CAF and pay a nominal application fee of Rs. 350/-. The mode of payment is clearly outlined within the application form, ensuring ease and clarity for all candidates.
Notably, admissions to minority and residential institutions are not covered under OFSS, and those institutions will conduct admissions independently.
The launch of OFSS comes shortly after the declaration of the BSEB Class 10 results on 29th March 2025. In this year’s exam, a total of 15,58,077 students appeared, out of which 12,79,294 passed, and 2,78,783 were unsuccessful. The overall pass percentage stood at 82.11%, reflecting strong performance from both boys and girls across the state.
The OFSS portal not only reduces the need for physical paperwork but also provides students with the flexibility to apply to multiple institutions through a single form. This initiative by the Bihar Board is a major leap toward digitizing the admission system and ensuring equal access to higher secondary education for students from urban and rural areas alike.
