The Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSE & L), Ministry of Education (MoE), is organising a Drawing and Painting Competition for students of Classes 6 to 8 to celebrate Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 by promoting cultural diversity, ceremonial traditions and rituals through creativity.
Eligibility
The students of Class 6 to 8 of CBSE-affiliated schools across country (except KVS, NVS) may voluntarily participate in Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 Competition.
Themes for the Contest
Bhavya Maha Kumbh: Depict the spiritual magnificence and vibrant atmosphere of the Maha Kumbh & the sacred confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Sarawati at Prayagraj
Divya Maha Kumbh: Showcase the traditions, rituals and ceremonies related to Maha Kumbh Mela
Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat: Illustrate the cultural diversity and harmony fostered through the Maha Kumbh Mela
Awards and Prizes
In each Category [Dawing and Painting] at All India Level
- First Prize: Rs 15,000
- Second Prize: Rs 10,000
- Third Prize; Rs 7,000
- 10 Consolation prizes each comprising a certificate and a gift hamper
Schools can submit / upload entries upto 30th January, 2025 using an Android phone APP available at the Google Play store, The Drawing or Painting must be the original creation of the student. Each student can submit only one entry, in either Drawing or Painting, Each school can submit a maximum of 6 best entries, For each entry, students must mention the theme and provide a title / caption for the artwork
Students must mention their name, school name, affiliation number, complete postal address, and contact details on the artwork,
Entries should be submitted through the Head of the School along with a certificate of authenticity in the prescribed format. All entries will be screened by the school’s jury before submission, .
