Every year the Ministry of Education, Government of India confers National Awards to Teachers to celebrate the unique contribution of outstanding teachers in the country.
The Ministry of Education, Government of India seeks six nominations from private independent schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) invites self nominations from the interested and eligible teachers and principals from its private independent schools
Teachers who have completed at least 10 years of regular service 31st March 2024 as a teacher in the school affiliated to recognized Board of school education can submit the application , Principals who have completed 10 years of regular service as a teacher and 5 years as a Principal in CBSE affiliated school by 31st March 2024 are eligible to apply
Teachers or Principals retired on or after 31st March 2024 may also apply, While the Principals cannot apply in the category of teachers and an applicant can apply under only one category
Applications for the Self Nominations for the National Awards to Teachers 2024 to be submitted online, Last date to submit the self nominations is 8th July 2024,
From the final merit list, 24 top scorers will be shortlisted based on experience, age, higher qualification, and percentages in qualifying exams etc, National Level Scrutiny Committee after further shortlisting will invite applicants for an interactive session to decide final six nominations
