AAI Sports Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding Sportspersons 2025-26 Applications Open

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has announced the AAI Sports Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding Sportspersons 2025–26, a valuable initiative aimed at supporting and nurturing young sporting talent in the country. This scheme is designed to encourage athletes between the ages of 14 to 24 years, offering financial support to those who have played at sub-junior or national levels. The last date to apply for this scholarship is 30th April 2025.

The scheme not only elevates the standards of sports within AAI but also promotes a sporting culture among Indian youth. A total of 117 positions are available, out of which 90 are open category and 27 are reserved for wards of AAI employees. Selected athletes will be offered a scholarship for a period of one year, with financial support as follows:

• ₹15,000 for athletes aged 14 to under 18
• ₹20,000 for athletes aged 18 and above

The eligible games under this scheme are diverse, ranging from indoor to outdoor sports, including Carrom, Chess, Badminton, Kho Kho, Table Tennis, Archery (Recurve), Cricket, Football, Volleyball, and track & field events like Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, Javelin Throw, and Discus Throw.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a sportsperson actively participating in one of the listed sports
• Must be between 14 to 24 years of age as of 31st March 2025
• Must have competed at sub-junior or national levels

Applicants need to submit essential documents including a recent passport-size photo, age proof, and sports achievement certificates.
