Notification for Recruitment of 8000 PRT / TGT / PGT Teachers in 137 Army Public Schools (APS) located in various Cantonments and Military Stations across India announced, the Army Public Schools are schools are administered and managed by local Army authorities and affiliated to CBSE through Army Welfare Education Society (AWES)
NOTE : The exact number of PRT / TGT / PGT vacancies available in the respective school will be announced by the School/Management while advertising for holding interviews/evaluation of teaching skills
QUALIFICATIONS
PGT (Post Graduate Teachers) : Post Graduation in the subject concerned with 50% Marks and B.Ed with 50% Marks
TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers) : Graduation with the subject concerned with 50% Marks and B.Ed with 50% Marks
PRT (Primary Teachers) : Graduation with the subject concerned with 50% Marks and D.Ed or B.Ed with 50% Marks
AGE LIMIT
Fresh Candidates having (Less than 5 yrs Experience) : Below 40 years
Experienced Candidates having (At least 10 years Experience) : Below 57 years
SELECTION PROCESS
The Selection process will be done in 3 stages
STAGE 1 : SCREENING EXAM – An `Online Screening Test’ will be conducted on 21 and 22 November 2020, for vacancies that will arise during the ensuing academic year, the Screening test will be held by Online by an agency identified by HQ AWES centrally, to ensure uniform quality of teachers in all Army Public Schools.
NOTE : Those who qualify in this stage will be given a ‘Score Card’ which shall be valid for life provided the candidate picks up a teaching job within three years from the date of passing the screening exam in any CBSE affiliated school for a continuous duration of at least one year, the Score card will be an eligibility for candidates to appear for next 2 stages
STAGE 2 : INTERVIEW – The respective schools shall announce the vacancies available through various means like Local Newspapers, the School Website, Notice board etc. Candidates need to apply in response to these announcements. The interviews may or may not be held at the location of the school, sometimes may be at a convenient place at one of the other Schools.
STAGE 3 : EVALUATION OF TEACHING SKILLS & COMPUTER PROFICIENCY – For Language teachers, written test comprising Essay & Comprehension of 15 marks each will be held along with evaluation of teaching skills.Selection Committee may also hold Computer proficiency tests if they so desire
NOTE
To qualify for interview and evaluation of teaching skills, the candidates should have passed the Online Screening Test. This year Screening test has been scheduled on 21 and 22 Nov 2020 at various centres across the country
Appointments will be made as per CBSE/AWES Rules, The interview shall be for a group of Schools (Cluster) and the selected candidates for Regular Category may be appointed in any of the schools in that cluster
CTET/TET is not mandatory for appearing in the Online Screening Test. But CTET/TET conducted by Centre/State Government is mandatory for appointment as TGTs/PRTs. Those not qualified in CTET/TET and found to be fit in all other respects may be considered for appointment on vacancies which may be adhoc in nature till the attainment of prescribed qualification

Part A : Questions will be based on General awareness, Mental Ability, English Comprehension, Educational Concepts and Methodology, Inclusive education, IT
Part B : Questions will be based on Specific Subject
NOTE : For TGT papers of Science & Social Science subjects, there will be a portion of questions pertaining to parallel subjects. For Eg, TGT Physics paper will have 10 questions each of Chemistry and Biology. Similarly TGT History paper will have 10 questions each of Geography and Political Science and so on

REGISTRATION

ADMIT CARDS
Admit Cards will be available ONLINE. Candidates are required to download and print them. The Admit card should be produced for getting entry to the Screening Exam
EXAM RESULTS
The results shall be available on the website for 30 days after declaration of results, No review of the results will be allowed
SCORE CARD
The Score Cards of successful candidates will be available on the official Website after the exam which the candidates may download and laminate, to get download CLICK HERE ,The card will be valid for lifetime provided the candidate takes up teaching in any of the CBSE recognized schools (for a period of at least one year) within 3 years from the date of issue of Score Card.
