VTU : Ph.D regulations 2023 released

Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) has released the Ph.D 2023. Regulation (Minimum Standards and Procedure for the Award of Ph.D. Degree), As per the regulations released by VTU the minimum duration of the programme for the award of Ph.D degree is 3 years for full time and 4 years for part time including course work and the maximum duration is 6 years for all from the date of admission to Ph.D programme 

Ph.D integrated programme minimum duration is 5 years, Female Research scholars may be provided Maternity Leave / Child Care Leave upto 240 days in the entire duration of the Ph.D programme 

The Ph.D programme by the Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) will be offered in two categories – Part time and Full time in the university department, its constituent colleges, affiliated colleges and research centers at other institutes 

Candidates possessing Masters Degree in Engineering / Technology are eligible to apply for the Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) Ph.D programme in Faculty of Engineering, Candidates with PG in MBA are eligible to apply for the Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) Ph.D programme in Faculty of Management, Candidates with M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology, MCA are eligible to apply for the Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) Ph.D programme in Faculty of Applied Sciences, Candidates with Masters Degree in Architecture are eligible to apply for the Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) Ph.D programme in Faculty of Architecture

Candidates who have admitted to Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) Ph.D full time programme shall not be allowed to take up any form of employment during the programme
