United States – India Educational Foundation (USIEF) invites applications from Indian citizens for the Fulbright-Nehru, Fulbright-Kalam, and other Fulbright fellowships for the academic year 2024-25

Fulbright Nehru Specialist Program – Institutional Award

The Fulbright Specialist program provides an opportunity to Indian institutions of higher learning to invite U.S. scholars and professionals to their campus for a period of 2-6 weeks, to draw on the expertise of U.S. scholars and professionals and develop linkages with American institutions, USIEF pays for the international airfare and honorarium to the Specialist

Host institutions should be involved in university-level teaching or training, the expansion of partnerships between universities and specialized institutions, and the promotion of international and cross-institutional cooperation are eligible to apply, 30th April 2023 is last date to submit application 

Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships

The Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships are provided to the outstanding individuals to pursue a master’s degree in the U.S in the areas of Economics, Environmental Science /Studies, Higher Education Administration; International Affairs; International Legal Studies, Journalism and Mass Communication; Public Administration, Arts and Culture Management including Heritage Conservation and Museum Studies, Public Health; Urban and Regional Planning and Women Studies/Gender Studies

A prospective applicant for the Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships must have a 4 year bachelor’s degree, or a completed master’s degree or a full time postgraduate diploma from a recognized Indian institution are eligible to apply, 17th May 2023 is last date to submit application

Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowships

The Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowships are pre-doctoral level research fellowships for six to nine months in the U.S. for those who have registered for a Ph.D. at an Indian institution by 1st November 2022, 17th July 2023 is last date to submit application 

Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Research Fellowships

These fellowships are for faculty and research scholars who have obtained a Ph.D. or a Doctor of Medicine (DM) degree between 17th July 2019 and 16th July 2023, to pursue a postdoctoral research fellowship in the U.S. for 8 to 24 months. The applicant is required to upload their Ph.D. or DM degree / provisional certificate on the online application, 17th July 2023 is last date to submit application 

Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Fellowships

These fellowships are meant for faculty, professionals, and researchers, with at least five years of relevant professional experience, to teach, conduct research, or carry out a combination of teaching and research at a U.S university for 4 to 9 months, 17th July 2023 is last date to submit application 

Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowships

The Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowships aim to build long-term capacity to address climate change related issues in India and the United States. The Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowship fields include, but are not limited to, Energy Studies, Earth Sciences, Geology, Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Smart Cities, Agriculture, Public Policy, Environmental Engineering, and Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, 17th July 2023 is last date to submit application
