University Grants Commission (UGC) has started the registration for Study Webs of Active–Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) courses on Buddhist Studies. UGC chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar said Considering the importance of Guru Purnima Day, University Grants Commission (UGC) has opened the registration for the following four SWAYAM Courses on Buddhist Studies.
The SWAYAM courses offered are the History of Buddhist Philosophy, Indian Buddhism, Abhidhamma (Pali) and Buddhist Tourism.
The Study Webs of Active–Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) courses on Buddhist Studies are offered for free and will carry 4 credits each. Students will be able to transfer the credits as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) SWAYAM regulations 2021. Each course will be of 15 weeks and 40 hour duration.
Registrations are under way, The courses will be held from 1st August to 14th November 2023, While the SWAYAM course registration for courses for Indian Knowledge System (IKS) has also been started.
