Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students 2023 – 24 announced

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India has invited online applications for the Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students for the year 2023 – 24

The Scheme aims at recognizing and promoting quality education amongst students belonging to SCs, by providing financial support., Scheme will operate in all the institutions notified by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for FY 2023-24 to 2025-26

Scholarship, once awarded, will continue till the completion of the course, subject to satisfactory performance of the student, Fresh scholarship will be awarded only to 1st year students, Thirty percent (30%) of slots allotted to the Institution shall be reserved for eligible SC girl students as per their inter-se merit. The benefit of the Scheme will not be provided to more than 2 siblings in a family

ELIGIBLITY

Students secured admission in a full-time prescribed course in any of the notified institutions according to the general selection criteria prescribed by the concerned institution, annual family income from all sources less than Rs 8 Lakh, will be eligible for scholarship

BENEFIT

Full tuition fee and non-refundable charges – Rs 2 Lakh per annum, Academic allowance of Rs. 86,000 in the first year of study and Rs. 41,000 in every subsequent year

DOCUMENTS

The documents required to apply for Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students 2023 – 24 are photograph, income certificate of the parent, tuition fees receipt, last academic qualification certificate, Candidates have to undergo Aadhaar based biometric authentication to get benefits of the Scholarship,
