Exam Structure
Tamil Nadu NMMS 2025 exam is designed to assess the academic potential of Class 8 students aiming for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The exam consists of two papers: the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
MAT evaluates logical reasoning and problem-solving skills with 90 multiple-choice questions.
SAT assesses academic knowledge across science, mathematics, and social studies, also with 90 questions.
Each paper carries 90 marks, with a total duration of 90 minutes each. Students must score at least 40% (32% for SC/ST) in each paper to qualify.
