The Sun Pharma Science Foundation, a leading institution dedicated to promoting excellence in scientific research, has announced its 2025 Research Fellowships and Science Scholar Fellowships. These prestigious awards recognize and support outstanding contributions in the fields of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Indian scientists and young researchers working in these domains are invited to submit their nominations by the deadline of 30th June 2025.
RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS FOR SCIENTISTS
The Sun Pharma Science Foundation Research Fellowships are designed to honor Indian scientists, whether working in India or abroad, for their excellence in original research. Nominations are invited under the following three categories:
- Medical Sciences – Basic Research
- Medical Sciences – Clinical Research
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
Each selected scientist will receive a trophy, a citation, and a cash prize of ₹5,00,000, acknowledging their contribution to advancing knowledge and innovation in their respective areas. Only Indian nationals are eligible, and nominations must be submitted by the Head of the Institution or a qualified reviewer, underscoring the importance of peer recognition in the selection process.
SCIENCE SCHOLAR FELLOWSHIPS FOR YOUNG RESEARCHERS
The Science Scholar Fellowships aim to identify and nurture promising young Indian researchers under the age of 30 who are pursuing MD or Ph.D. degrees and have completed at least one year of research in Biomedical or Pharmaceutical Sciences. These fellowships encourage early-career researchers to pursue high-impact research and gain global exposure.
Each year, two awards are conferred in each category:
- Biomedical Sciences
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
Winners will receive a trophy, a citation, and a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, along with an additional travel grant of ₹1,00,000 to support participation in an international scientific conference, fostering global collaboration and knowledge sharing.
