The social welfare benefits and subsidies by the Central Government and State Governments are transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries through Direct benefit transfer (DBT)
Direct benefit transfer (DBT) uses the Aadhaar card, which is a 12 digit unique identity number issued by the Government to all residents of India, as a means of verifying the identity of beneficiaries and ensuring that the benefits are delivered to the correct person Bank accountÂ
To ensure the benefits are delivered to the bank account it is mandatory to link Aadhaar with Bank account, Aadhaar can be linked to a bank account by visiting the nearest bank’s branch, SMS, Mobile Application, Phone Banking, or ATM

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO CHECK AADHAR – BANK LINK STATUS
Step 1 : Visit the UIDAI Official Aadhar – Bank Link Status Check Portal (CLICK HERE)
Step 2 : Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number or 16 digit Virtual ID
Step 3 : Enter Security Code (Captcha)
Step 4 : Click on Send OTP
Step 5 : Enter the OTP received, then click on Submit
Step 6 : Status of Aadhar Link with Bank will be displayed
