State Bank of India (SBI) has released the notification for the recruitment of 8500 Apprentice vacancies across the country, Candidates can apply for engagement in one state only. Candidates can appear for the examination only once under this engagement project.
The process of registration is complete only when fee is deposited with the Bank through online mode on or before the last date for payment of fees
QUALIFICATION
Graduation from a recognised University/ Institute

NOTE : Candidates must have been born not earlier than 01.11.1992 and not later than 31/10/2000 (both days inclusive), Age relaxation will be given as per the rules
DURATION OF TRAINING
Three years only. The selected apprentices should be willing to qualify in the examinations of IIBF (JAIIB/CAIIB) during 3 years apprenticeship engagement in the Bank
STIPEND
The apprentices are eligible for stipend Every Month till complete the duration of training (3 years) The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits

SELECTION PROCESS
Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of
- Online written test
- Test of local language.
- Medical Examination
NOTE : The examination will be Objective Question type based
EXAM PATTERN
ONLINE WRITTEN EXAM
The questions will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi, except for the test of General English. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer,
The Paper consist of 100 Questions carrying 1 Mark each and the duration of Examination is 60 Minutes (1 Hour)

NOTE : Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon),
Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the Bank. There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual subject. Merit list will be drawn State wise and category wise.
TEST OF LOCAL LANGUAGE
The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) of the specified local language of that State,
The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprentice
NOTE : Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test
MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank
EXAM DATE
Tentatively the online examination will be held in January 2021
EXAM CENTRE
Candidate should choose the name of the Centre where he/she desires to take the examination. SBI, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the examination centre and/or add some other centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility etc.
No request for change of centre for examination shall be entertained.
