In its continued mission to nurture and empower the youth, the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust has introduced the Satya Scholars Program, a merit-cum-means scholarship aimed at supporting deserving students—particularly girls—from Ludhiana district. The scholarship is designed to cover 100% tuition fees for undergraduate and integrated master’s degree programs, thereby removing financial hurdles that prevent talented students from pursuing higher education.
FOSTERING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
The Trust’s scholarship initiative is open to students pursuing Commerce, Engineering, and Medical streams in select colleges and universities within Ludhiana district. Courses covered include BBA, BCom, B.Tech, B.E., B.Arch, MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. Nursing, and more. The program not only ensures academic progression but also aims to promote confidence and dignity among students from economically weaker sections.
ELIGIBILITY AND SPECIAL PREFERENCES
To apply, students must have passed Class 12 with at least 60% marks, be Indian citizens residing in Ludhiana, and have a parental annual income not exceeding INR 5 lakh. Orphaned students must meet the same income criteria through their guardians. Girls, orphans, persons with disabilities, children of single parents, and sportspersons with state, national, or international-level achievements are given special preference.
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
The Satya Scholarship covers full tuition fees based on the institute’s fee structure for the entire duration of the course (up to 5 years). If fees are paid upfront by the student, reimbursement is provided directly to their or their parent’s account. Additionally, for scholars mandated to live on campus, hostel and mess charges may be considered.
Scholars must maintain a minimum 6 GPA or 60% and 75% attendance to continue receiving support.
A unique aspect of the program is its voluntary give-back clause—once employed, Satya Scholars are encouraged to support the education of at least one other student, ensuring a sustainable chain of empowerment, Last date to submit the online application is 31st July 2025
