The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a significant upgrade to the NEET UG 2025 Registration registration process by introducing the APAAR ID (Application Processing and Academic Repository ID) alongside Aadhaar-based authentication. APAAR ID
The APAAR ID is a unique identifier assigned to every NEET UG candidate upon registration. It serves as a central repository for the candidate’s academic records, application details, and exam-related information. The APAAR ID will be a single point of reference for all interactions between the candidate and NTA, from registration to the declaration of results
Aadhaar-Based Authentication: Enhancing Security
In addition to the APAAR ID, the NTA has incorporated Aadhaar-based authentication to verify the identity of NEET UG candidates. Aadhaar, India’s unique identification system, ensures a robust layer of security by linking candidate information to biometric and demographic data
As per the notification released candidates must use their APAAR ID along with Aadhaar-based authentication during the application and examination stages. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has also advised candidates to ensure their Aadhaar details align with the information on their Class 10 mark sheet or passing certificate for a seamless process
Updated credentials are highly recommended for ease of verification, registration process and to enhance the integrity of the examination process. The NEET (UG)-2025 registration process shall be starting in due course of time. Candidates are advised to update their credentials in Aadhar, preferably as per their 10 Marksheet / Passing Certificate.
