The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced a significant learning opportunity for students of Classes 11 and 12 by offering 28 online courses through the SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) MOOCs portal. These courses are specially designed to support, supplement, and enrich students’ academic learning in line with the national curriculum.
Covering a total of 11 subjects—Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Accountancy, English, Business Studies, Economics, Geography, Psychology, and Sociology—these courses aim to provide flexible, accessible, and high-quality content to students preparing for board examinations and higher education.
The course duration is set from 1st May 2025 to 15th September 2025, allowing ample time for students to engage deeply with the content. Students can benefit from interactive video lectures, reading material, self-assessment tools, and periodic assignments. These courses are developed by subject experts from NCERT and follow the latest curriculum guidelines to ensure relevance and academic rigor.
The last date for enrollment in these courses is 1st September 2025. Students are encouraged to register well in advance to take full advantage of this free educational resource.
These courses are a great initiative under the Digital India and NEP 2020 vision to democratize education, promote lifelong learning, and enhance academic outcomes.
