National School of Drama invite applications for admission to 3 years Diploma in Dramatics for the academic year 2023 – 2026

National School of Drama is one of the foremost theatre training institutions in the world and the only one of its kind in India set up by the Sangeet Natak Akademi as one of its constituent units in 1959.

National School of Drama provides a three year full time Diploma Course for entrants intending to make theatre their profession, the central aim of the 3 years Diploma in Dramatics course is to prepare students for the practice of theatre

Candidates with Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University are eligible to apply, The selection is a two phase process. The candidate should appear for a preliminary examination and if selected then required to appear for a final examination workshop

Training in the National School of Drama is based on a thorough, comprehensive and carefully planned syllabus that covers every aspect of theatre from theory to practice over three years, The First year is divided into two semesters, In the Second year the students choose their area of specialisation. This year is also broadly divided into two semesters, in third year the Specialisation chosen in the second year Continues, Last date to submit application is 10th July 2023
