Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Kerala, has announced the commencement of its admission process for the academic year 2025-26, inviting applications for various Postgraduate (PG), M.Tech, and MBA programmes. Admissions will be conducted through the Common Admission Test (CAT-MGU 2025), alongside other specific criteria laid out for individual programs.
PROGRAMMES OFFERED
Admissions are open to a diverse range of programmes offered across statutory departments and inter-school centres:
- Postgraduate Degrees including M.Sc., M.A., M.Ed., M.PES, LL.M., and more.
- M.Tech Programmes in Energy Science, Nanoscience, and Polymer Science.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme.
APPLICATION AND ADMISSION PROCESS
Applications are to be submitted online only via the official MGU admissions portal. Applicants can select up to four programmes under a single application form.
ENTRANCE TEST REQUIREMENT
Admission to all programmes (excluding MBA and international quota) requires candidates to appear for CAT-MGU 2025. MBA admissions will be based on valid scores from KMAT/CMAT/CAT, followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and Interview.
Candidates with valid GATE scores are exempted from the M.Tech entrance test, but must register on the MGU portal.

Applicants may choose up to three centres from the following options: Thiruvananthapuram / Kottayam / Ernakulam / Kozhikode / Kannur

- Entrance Examination Dates: 30th and 31st May 2025
Application Fees:
- General/All India Quota: ₹1200 for one programme/cluster; ₹2400 for multiple (up to 4).
- SC/ST Candidates: ₹600 for one; ₹1200 for multiple programmes.
ELIGIBILITY
Candidates who are awaiting final semester results can also apply. However, they must submit the final qualifying certificate before the closure of admissions.
