Karnataka Schools to conduct Naavu Manujaru programme to inculcate social harmony and Constitutional values

From the academic year 2024 – 25 the Department of School Education and Research Training (DSERT), Karnataka has ordered the implementation of Naavu Manujaru programme in all the Government / Aided / Unaided Primary and Highs Schools with an objective of turning all educational institutions in the State into centres of social harmony, tolerance and scientific temper

As per the notification released by the Department of School Education and Research Training (DSERT), Karnataka  the implementation of the Naavu Manujaru would involve discussions and dialogues for two hours per week (with three periods of 40 minutes) in all Government / Aided / Unaided Primary and Highs Schools of the State,

One period of value education and two periods of Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) have been adjusted to conduct Naavu Manujaru programme to inculcate values enshrined in the Constitution among children

Under the Naavu Manujaru programme the discussion should be held for two hours per week (with three periods of 40 minutes) on social harmony and its significance, based on local and national festivals, folk games, sports etc, Awareness among children about scientific temper, environmental consciousness, eradication of superstitions and reconciliation of superstitions and science,

Awareness is to be created on equal opportunity and its significance, Group activities are to be planned under the Naavu Manujaru programme to convey to the students the importance of midday meals, sahabhojana (community lunch), school garden management, indoor / outdoor games and desi sports for everyone, for more details CLICK HERE
