As per the Principal Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Karnataka the discussion is still in the initial stages and there has been no decision yet regarding conducting Common Assessment Examination for the students of Class 9 and 1st year PUC, To ensure the standardization of the assessment process the Department of School Education and Literacy, Karnataka is considering conducting Common Assessment Examination for the students of Class 9 and 1st year PU
Currently the Question papers set by the Schools for the assessment have no uniform standard, so Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) likely to set the question paper for assessment, as this will allow an acute feedback of where the learning of students stand,
Commissioner of Department of School Education R Vishal said we are working on the legal framework for the assessment of class 5 and class 8, similarly we need to look into assessment of the students of class 9 and 1st year PUC, there are several aspects to be considered before implementation, Meanwhile the students of class 9 and 1st year PUC to be prepared to focus on the academics as they get ready to face Board Exams
