Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium organizing Science Quiz program in Kannada for High school students

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is organizing science quiz program in Kannada for High school students. The quiz to be held in five rounds, will test understanding of concepts, solving problems through scientific principles and applying principles – not just concepts, figures and astronomical events.

ELIGIBILITY 

The science quiz program is conducted for students who are currently studying in 8th, 9th and 10th standard in Karnataka state. The science quiz program will be in Kannada only

QUIZ STAGES

Stage 1: This is an online multiple choice question test for students of entire Karnataka state. All students who score more than 70% marks in this phase will be given e-certificate, From the four divisions of Karnataka namely Bangalore, Belgaum, Kalburgi and Mysore, the first hundred students who scored the highest marks in the first stage are selected. All 100 selected students will be given a prize along with a certificate of appreciation.

Stage 2 : One hundred selected students from each divisions will participate in the written test at the designated science center of their respective divisions . Sixteen students who score highest in the written test will be selected from each section.Other students will be given prize and certificate of appreciation

Stage 3 : 16 students selected up to the third stage in each section will be divided into 4 teams and quiz will be conducted. The first four students in each team will be selected for the next round. Other students will be given prize and certificate of appreciation

Step 4: Out of the four selected students, one student from each category will be selected. Other students will be given prize and certificate of appreciation.

Stage 5: The final stage quiz will be held in Bangalore for the winning students, to the winning candidates First, second and two third prizes will be given 

PRIZE MONEY

First Prize : Rs10,000

Second Prize : Rs 7,500

Third Prize : Rs 5,000 (two each)

The first step science quiz program is the online entrance test. In online entrance test 25 questions have to be answered in 30 minutes. online entrance test is being conducted on two separate days for the convenience of the students. Students can take the online entrance test on the day convenient for them or on both the days

IMPORTANT DATE

Last date to register for this competition is 10th September 2023, The mock test can be taken on 30th and 31st August 2023, Entrance test to be held on 16th and 17th September 2023, Online Entrance test can be taken on 2nd and 3rd September 2023
