IISc Bangalore 4 year B.Sc (Research) Programme admissions 2023 notification released

Applications are invited for admissions to Four Year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme for the year 2023 by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, Karnataka 

4 year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme which is designed as a balanced blend of core science and interdisciplinary topics to serve as a platform for attractive career opportunities in academia and industry.

The candidates who complete the requirements for the award of the 4 years Bachelor of Science (Research) degree will have an option of getting a Master of Science degree by studying at the Institute for a 5th year.

ELIGIBLITY 

Candidates who have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in 2022 and also those who are expecting to complete their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in 2023 and have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in their qualifying exam along with any other subjects are eligible to apply

SELECTION

Selection will be based on the merit list of one of the following national examinations – Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) KVPY-2021, Stream-SA, JEE Main 2023, JEE Advance 2023, NEET(UG) 2023, IISER Aptitude test 2023 

For the Academic Year 2023-24, IISER Aptitude Test is introduced as a new mode of Entry, Candidates have to apply directly on the IISc admission portal to apply through IISER Aptitude Test mode of Entry.

Interested and Eligible candidates can apply for the 4 year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme from 15th March to 31st May 2023

SCHOLARSHIP

All the students who join the 4 year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme are eligible for a scholarship from the KVPY / INSPIRE / IISc Promotional Scheme (IIScP), depending upon their mode of entry
