The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), under the Government of India, has announced the ICCR Yuva Mitra Prize 2025—a unique initiative to recognize, reward, and promote the contributions of young ICCR scholars, artists, writers, and cultural enthusiasts. This prestigious award aims to encourage youth engagement in showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage to the world.
The ICCR Yuva Mitra Prize is designed for individuals who are not only ICCR scholars but are also actively engaged in artistic, literary, or cultural activities, particularly those promoted on social media platforms. Through this prize, ICCR seeks to motivate the next generation of global cultural ambassadors.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To apply for the ICCR Yuva Mitra Prize 2025, an applicant must:
- Be a registered ICCR scholar.
- Be actively involved in Indian cultural promotion.
- Display cultural/artistic/literary work through social media platforms.
- Have shared their work within the last 6 months.
- Follow all official ICCR social media handles.
ATTRACTIVE BENEFITS
The prize includes cash awards and certificates, as well as opportunities to showcase talent at ICCR-organised events in India and abroad. The prize distribution is structured as follows:
- First Prize: ₹30,000
- Second Prize: ₹25,000
- Third Prize: ₹15,000
These awards are given on a quarterly basis every year, ensuring regular recognition and support for rising cultural voices.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Applicants must submit:
- Proof of ICCR scholarship and ID
- A portfolio of recent work (visual art, writing, performances, etc.)
- Valid identity proof
- Social media links or screenshots of their public cultural contributions
SELECTION PROCESS
A dedicated ICCR Screening Committee will evaluate and shortlist the top 10 entries based on originality, cultural impact, and online engagement. The committee includes:
- Program Director (Chairman)
- Program Officer (Member)
- Media Consultant (Member)
