The Online applications are invited from the eligible research scholars, who have already registered for Ph.D in Science or Engineering at a recognized University / Institution / College in Karnataka for availing DST – Ph.D Fellowship in Science & Engineering for the academic year 2023-24, The candidates must have successfully completed the Ph.D. course work
The applicant should possess a Master degree or equivalent, such as Masters in Science, Masters in Engineering or Technology with at least 60% marks, The candidates must have successfully completed at least one of the competitive exams such as NET / SLET / GATE
The upper age limit for applying for the fellowship is 35 years, relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / PwD
Application shall be submitted only through online mode, The last date for the submission of duly filled application along with required documents is 30th October 2023
AMOUNT AND DURATION
The amount of the fellowship shall be Rs. 20,000 per month. The fellowship will be initially for one year and extended further for 2 more years based on progress. The maximum duration of the fellowship will not be more than 3 years
DOCUMENT
The documents required are Matriculation Certificate, Karnataka Domicile Certificate, Degree Marks Cards, Post Graduate Marks Cards, NET/SLET/GATE certificate, Ph.D. Registration Certificate, Ph.D. Course work marks card/completion certificate, Caste certificate, if applicable, Disability certificate, if applicable. Declaration from Research supervisor (Signed copy on Institutional letter head) – Format given in Annexure-B, Certificate from Head of the Institution (Signed copy on Institutional letter head) – Format given in Annexure-C
