Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme 2023-24 application process started

Center for Cultural Resources and Training has invited applications for the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme to provide facilities to outstanding talented children selected in the age group of 10 to 14 years who are studying either in recognized schools or belonging to families practicing traditional performing arts for getting specialized training in various cultural fields such as traditional forms of dance, drama, painting, sculpture, crafts, music and literary arts

The Cultural Talent Search Scholarship is awarded for two years at a time which is renewable after every two years till the completion of the first year degree or up to the age of 20 years, whichever is earlier, subject to awardees maintaining satisfactory progress

Every year 650 scholarships are awarded – 375 scholarships for General categories & Others / 125 scholarships for Traditional Artist Families / 100 scholarships for Tribal Culture /ST / 20 scholarships for Differently Abled (Divyang) / 30 scholarships for Creative Writing/Literary Arts

Under the Scheme the Scholarship of Rs.3600 per year and actual tuition fee paid for the specialized training is also reimbursed up to Rs.9000 per year awarded, Children whose date of birth is in between 1st July 2009 and 30th June 2013 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for the award of scholarships for the year 2023-24, Last date to submit application is 31st July 2023
