IMPORTANT DATES

As per the notification released the online registration for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2024 can be done from 7th March 2024,  Last date to apply is 2nd April 2024, Last date for the payment of application fees is 2nd April 2024, the date of release of admit card to be announced later, The candidate’s particulars cannot be changed / edited once the examination fee has been submitted

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024 is scheduled to be held on 7th July 2024 in twenty languages in135 cities all over the country

APPLICATION FEES

Candidates applying for Paper 1 or Paper 2 belonging to General Category to pay Rs 1000, for both papers Rs 1200, While the Reserved category candidates applying for Paper 1 or Paper 2 to pay 500 and for both the papers Rs 600

EXAM PATTERN

All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V, Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. Main question paper shall be Bilingual (Hindi/English).

PAPER 1 

Paper 1 to be conducted for 150 Marks, Duration of Exam is 150 minutes, Question to consist of questions on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Each Concept to have 30 MCQ’s for 30 Marks 

The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. The Test items in Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction,

The Test items in Language II will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities. The Test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding and applications of the subjects

PAPER 2

Paper 2 to be conducted for 150 Marks, Duration of Exam is 150 minutes, Question to consist of questions on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science or Social Science, Each Concept to have 30 MCQ’s for 30 Marks 

The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning, relevant to the age group of 11-14 years, The Test items in Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction,

VALIDITY

The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for life time for all categories
