The Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), functioning under the Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, Government of India, has officially invited applications for admission to the Diploma in Language Training (DLT) programme for the academic year 2025–2026. Located in Manasagangotri, Mysuru-570 006, CIIL is a prestigious national institute dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Indian languages.
The last date to submit the duly filled-in application to the institute is 31st May 2025. Applications are accepted in both online and offline modes; however, those who apply online must send a hard copy of their application to the institute before the due date to complete the application process.
PROGRAMME DETAILS
The Diploma in Language Training is offered in any one of the following Modern Indian Languages:
Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
This training will be conducted at seven Regional Language Centres located in Mysuru, Bhubaneswar, Pune, Patiala, Solan, Lucknow, Guwahati
ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION
The programme is open to a wide range of applicants, including In-service teachers, Prospective teachers, Research scholars, Interested members of the general public
Applicants must select one language of their choice for training, and preference will be given to those already engaged in language education or linguistic studies.
APPLICATION FEE
The application fee may be remitted through a QR code provided by the institute or through a nationalised bank demand draft. The specific fee amount and payment details are available in the application guidelines provided by CIIL.
