Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has invited online applications for admissions to various Ph.D programmes for the year 2024, As per the notification released Candidates who have qualified national level examinations such as JRF (UGC / CSIR / DBT / ICMR / ICSSR), NET (UGC / CSIR), GATE or equivalent etc), Candidates who have secured DST-INSPIRE Fellowship, Candidates with Central Government and State Government sponsored fellowships, National/State level Teacher fellowship holders can apply
The candidate must register for Ph.D. admission through the online SAMARTH registration portal, Submission of the online registration forms is mandatory for Ph.D. admissions, the online applications for admissions to various Ph.D programmes for the year 2024 can be submitted from 13th March 2024,
Last date to submit the application is 12th April 2024, Eligible candidates list to be released on 15th April 2024, Interviews are scheduled to be held on 22nd April and 23rd April 2024, List of selected candidates to be released on 24th April 2024, Classes to commence from 1st May 2024
Candidates belonging to General Category to pay Rs 500 registration fees, While the candidates belonging to the reserved categories to pay Rs 100, Candidates who have completed Post Graduation (Masters Degree) from a recognised university with atleast 55% marks for General Category and 50% for reserved category are eligible to apply
Selection to be on the basis of 70% weightage contribution from JRF, NET and allied qualification, PG programme, and test conducted by the concerned programme before interviews. 30% weightage contribution from online presentation and viva-voce
