Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the Recommendations of National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage 2022 (NCF-FS 2022) in the schools affiliated to CBSE
As per the recommendations released the Schools must adopt and adapt NCF-FS 2022 and make use of the Jadui Pitara (collection of teaching-learning material) prepared by NCERT for the teaching-learning process for the Foundational Years, it is recommended that all related Teaching-Learning material for Foundational Stage being released by NCERT be used for teaching-learning purposes
In line with existing CBSE norms, each child shall have an annual physical, examination by a competent physician, including an appropriate vision screening, audio testing and other tests as deemed necessary.
Identification of any special needs should be made at this time, Information about any particular medical condition, and the associated medication or preventive measures should be obtained at the time of admission and be updated regularly and made available to all concerned,
In the event of a medical emergency head of the school shall be responsible for securing all possible medical care and informing the parents/ guardian. All staff dealing with children in Balvatika (Pre-School) shall have a regular physical examination conducted by a physician
In addition to existing CBSE norms regarding classrooms, for Foundation Stage the class rooms shall be On the ground or first floor of a building, Properly ventilated, with proper light, clean, sanitary and dry, All concrete floors used by children shall be covered with a safe and smooth material
Play area for the entire school (Class Balvatika (Pre School) To class VIII / X / XII), Minimum 10,000 sq. ft (929 sq mt) open playground, Play area shall be easily reachable to the classroom and toilet facilities. It shall be free of hazardsÂ
In addition to existing safety norms of CBSE, schools must take all possible steps to preclude any kind of punishment at the Foundation stage which could adversely affect a child’s well-being, Schools must have appropriate knowledge of appropriate disaster management norms
As far as possible, Staff should be multilingual and should know the mother tongue language of the students, Each school shall maintain a record of positive parent collaboration in the education of their children. A school shall not admit a child who is younger than 3 years of the age to the 1st year of Balvatika(Pre-school), School must have arrangements in place to support CWSN at the foundational stage also,
Teacher should be proficient using platforms like DIKSHA, e-pathshala, NDEAR, NIPUN, BHARAT, PRASHASTH, NISTHA and e-tools for engaging students and parents
