BOC Scholarship Odisha 2024-25 Applications Open

The Government of Odisha has launched the BOC Scholarship for OBC/SEBC Students 2024-25, aiming to promote technical education among the children of building and construction workers. This initiative specifically supports students pursuing courses like I.T.I., I.T.C., Polytechnic, and Diploma programs, encouraging more children from marginalized communities to build a strong educational foundation.

The scholarship seeks to financially assist students from Odisha who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC). Recognizing the financial challenges faced by construction workers’ families, the state aims to uplift these communities by promoting higher enrollment in technical courses, leading to better employment opportunities in the future.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To apply for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:

• Must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
• Must be enrolled in an I.T.I., I.T.C., Polytechnic, or Diploma program.
• Must belong to the SC, ST, OBC, or SEBC categories.

An important note for applicants is that the assistance will be extended to only two children of the eligible parents, even if both parents qualify under the scheme.

• Annual Contribution Certificate of the parent or guardian.

IMPORTANT DATES

The last date to submit applications for the BOC Scholarship is 5th May 2025. Eligible students are encouraged to complete their applications well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
