Army Public Schools Online Screening Test (OST) 2025

The Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has invited applications for Online Screening Test (OST) 2025 scheduled to be conduct 20th and 21st September 2025 (with 22nd and 23rd as reserve dates) to recruit qualified teachers for Army Public Schools (APS) across India. APS institutions are CBSE-affiliated and administered by local military authorities.

This exam is intended for aspiring teachers in PGT, TGT, and PRT categories. Candidates qualifying the OST receive a Score Card valid for life, enhancing their chances during interviews and selection rounds. However, OST qualification is not mandatory for interviews but preferred.

Eligible candidates include:

  • Fresh applicants
  • Scorecard holders aiming to improve scores
  • Candidates applying for a different teaching category

The OST is an online computer-based test of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for 200 marks with a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. Subject-specific question papers will be provided for PGT, TGT, and PRT posts based on NCERT syllabi. The structure includes sections on GK, pedagogy, education policy, and academic proficiency.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • PGT: Postgraduate + B.Ed. (50% minimum in both)
  • TGT: Graduate + B.Ed. (50% minimum in both)
  • PRT: Graduate + B.El.Ed/D.El.Ed or B.Ed. (50% minimum)
  • CTET/TET is mandatory at the time of appointment for TGT/PRT, though not required for OST appearance.

AGE CRITERIA (AS OF 1st APRIL 2025)

  • Below 40 years: No teaching experience required
  • 40-55 years: Minimum 5 years teaching experience in the relevant category

REGISTRATION DETAILS

  • Online registration from 5th June to 16th August 2025

  • Application fee: ₹385
  • Application correction window: 22nd to 24th August 2025
  • Admit card release: 8th September 2025
  • Results expected post 8th October 2025

Candidates are advised to keep track of vacancies announced individually by APS clusters through their websites and newspapers. Final selection is based on interviews, evaluation of teaching skills, and computer proficiency.
