AIIMS Exam

NEET exam has replaced the AIIMS exam. By this AIIMS exam, students can get admission into MBBS course. Admission will be given only to the AIIMS qualified students in various AIIMS Institutes.

OVERVIEW

EXAM PATTERN AND SYLLABUS

AIIMS exam will be conducted through offline mode.  The question paper will consist of 180 MCQ and Reason-Assertion questions. Exam duration will be of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Most important point is there is a negative mark for every incorrect attempt. For each correct answer you will earn 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.  Marks will neither be awarded and nor be deducted for unattempt question.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidate should have passed class 12/Senior School Certificate Examination of CBSE or Intermediate Science (I. SC.) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics subjects.

Minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics should be 50% for General and OBC students and 45% aggregate for SC/ST/PWD students.

Candidate age must be seventeen years on or beforethe year of admission.

Citizens of India, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indians (NRI) are eligible to apply for the exam.

AIIMS MBBS REGISTRATION

AIIMS has reviewed the entire form filling process. From this year, it will be a two-stage process consists of:

Primary Registration: It may tentatively open from November – January.

Final Registration: Formalities of this stage involve paying for the exam, choosing the exam center etc.

The application fee for general and OBC categories is Rs.1500 and for SC/ST candidates is Rs.1200. The process to fill AIIMS MBBS Application Form is completely online.

AIIMS PRIMARY REGISTRATION

• Visit the official website of AIIMS MBBS.
• Click on ‘New Registration’ option.
• Enter all your basic details in the prescribed format.
• Upload your photo and signature after scanning in prescribed format.

In this stage, candidates are not required to make the payment for the exam.

AIIMS FINAL REGISTRATION

Once you finished filling up basic information, a code for final registration will be issued to the candidates. Use thatcode for login again and fill the form which will be released about three months before AIIMS MBBS Exam along with the brochure.

In this candidates are required to fill out the entire details of their personal, professional and academic details. Also, they will have to remit the application fee as per their category. 

• Make payment of your application fee in online mode or by bank challan.
• Cross check the filled AIIMS application form and take multiple printouts for future use.

AIIMS MBBS SYLLABUS

Physics: Physical-world and measurement, kinematics, laws of motion, work, energy and power, movement of the system of particles and rigid body, oscillations and waves, perfect gas behavior and the kinetic theory of gases, etc.

Chemistry: Basic concepts of chemistry, chemical thermodynamics, blocking elements, classification of elements and periodicity in properties, states of matter: gases and liquids, organic chemistry: some principles and basic techniques, etc.

Biology :The diversity of living organisms, cell: structure and function, human physiology, biology, and human welfare, biotechnology and its applications, ecology and environment, etc.

General culture: Current Affairs Business, Featured Business Line, Leading Business Officials, Famous Awards, and Awards, Major Corporate Events, World Records, Books and Authors, Science, History, etc.

AIIMS MBBS ADMIT CARD

NTA, the exam conducting authority will issue the AIIMS admit card of candidates on the official website. Candidates can download it from the website and must carry it along with themselves on the day of the exam.

AIIMS MBBS RESULT

The result of the AIIMS MBBS Exam will be declared by NTA. Candidates can check their results online on the official website by entering their user id and password.

AIIMS MBBS COUNSELLING FOR ADMISSION

Counseling will begin soon after AIIMS results are announced. Candidates must be physically present for their counselingprocess on the scheduled date and time. In counseling, candidates are given a choice for colleges as per their rank and merit list. Candidates must check the official website of NTA NEET for details on the counseling process.
