JKSSB Constable Selection Process 2026
The recruitment process consists of four stages.
Stage 1 – Written Examination: An objective-type test conducted in English language only.
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
- NCC Bonus Marks:
- NCC “C” Certificate – 5%
- NCC “B” Certificate – 3%
- NCC “A” Certificate – 2%
Stage 2 – Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates shortlisted (six times the number of vacancies) will undergo PST, which is qualifying in nature.
Physical Standards:
- Male: Height 5’6”, Chest 32” (unexpanded), 33½” (expanded)
- Female: Height 5’2”
- Relaxation: 2” height relaxation for Gorkha Community/Bot Tribe candidates
Stage 3 – Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying test for candidates meeting PST standards.
- Male: 1600m race in 6½ minutes + 20 pushups
- Female: 1000m race in 6½ minutes + Shot put (4kg) – 14½ feet (3 attempts)
- Ex-Servicemen: Relaxed PET standards as per notification
