JEE Main 2026: NTA Issues FAQs & Important Exam Rules

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 application process on November 27, 2025. After the registration window closes, candidates will be allowed to correct select fields using the JEE Main 2026 correction facility, available from December 1 to 2 (till 11:50 PM). To support applicants, NTA has also published the official JEE Main 2026 FAQs, clarifying rules on exam dates, calculators, exam cities and application form details. With more students applying this year, the number of JEE Main exam cities has increased from 284 to 323, expanding accessibility across India and abroad.

NTA has reiterated that exam dates, shifts and centres are allotted randomly by computer, and no requests for changes will be entertained, even if the exam clashes with another test. Additionally, NTA has clarified that no calculators — including standard, virtual or on-screen calculators — will be allowed during the exam, correcting a typographical error in the information bulletin.

With the syllabus now available on the official website, candidates must ensure they complete the application process carefully, as NTA will not take responsibility for mistakes made by applicants.
