As per the latest notification, the DNB December 2025 Final Theory Exam will be conducted on December 18, 19, 20, and 21, 2025, in computer-based mode across various centres in India. The exam aims to assess the theoretical and practical knowledge of postgraduate medical candidates who have undergone training in NBEMS-accredited institutions.
DNB December 2025 Exam Dates and Application Schedule
According to the official notice, the online submission of application forms for both the theory and practical exams, as well as for the practical exam only, has commenced from October 23, 2025. The last date to submit the DNB December 2025 application form is November 16, 2025.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the NBEMS official website — www.natboard.edu.in. The DNB December 2025 final theory exam will be held in a single shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. About the DNB Final Examination
The DNB Final Examination is a national-level postgraduate medical examination designed to evaluate the academic and clinical competence of candidates who have completed their training in DNB-accredited hospitals or medical institutions.
Successful candidates are awarded the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) qualification, which is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) as equivalent to MD/MS degrees for all purposes — including medical practice, academic appointments, and teaching positions in India.
The examination is conducted in two parts — theory and practical (viva). Candidates who qualify the theory paper become eligible to appear for the practical examination.
