PSEB Announces Migration Dates for Classes 8 to 12 for Academic Session 2025–26

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has officially announced the schedule for online school-to-school migration and inter-board migration of students for Classes 8 to 12 for the 2025–26 academic session. Students seeking migration must apply online through the board’s official website within the prescribed dates and pay the required fees.

PSEB School-to-School Migration 2025–26: Key Dates and Fees

According to the notification, the last date to apply for school-to-school migration is October 31, 2025, with a migration fee of Rs 1,000. Students who miss this deadline can still apply between November 1 and November 28, 2025, by paying an increased fee of Rs 2,000.

The Board has strictly stated that this is the final opportunity for online registration and continuation of students of Classes 8 to 12. No requests will be entertained after the given deadlines. Schools are responsible for ensuring that the migration process is completed accurately. If the migration remains incomplete for any reason, the responsibility will lie with the school head or the concerned employee.

PSEB Inter-Board Migration 2025–26

The inter-board migration facility has also been made available for students from other state or central education boards who wish to continue their studies in PSEB-affiliated schools.

The fee structure for inter-board migration is as follows:

  • Up to October 31, 2025: Rs 3,100
  • From November 1 to November 28, 2025: Rs 5,100 (subject to the approval of the Chairman through the online process)

Importantly, the inter-board migration request must be submitted within 15 days of the issuance of the Transfer Certificate (TC) by the student’s previous school. The Board has clearly mentioned that no migration cases will be accepted after November 28, 2025.

PSEB Migration Process: Documents Required

To apply for the PSEB Class 8 to 12 migration process, students need to first submit a written request to the PSEB-affiliated school where they intend to take admission. Once accepted, the school will collect and upload the following documents:

  • Previous class result card
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous school
  • Current class quarterly or half-yearly result card

The migration request will then be forwarded to the Punjab School Education Board for final approval.

PSEB Registration Deadline Extended for 2025–26 Session

Alongside the migration schedule, PSEB has also extended the deadline for online registration and continuation of students of Classes 8 to 12 for the upcoming session.

Due to the disruption caused by floods and heavy rains in Punjab, the last date for registration has been extended to September 30, 2025. Schools must complete the process using the Online Payment Gateway with a late fee of Rs 1,500 per student.

For Class 8 institutions seeking new provisional identification numbers, applications are to be submitted through the E-affiliation section available on the official PSEB website.

The PSEB migration and registration schedule 2025–26 provides students with a clear timeline for school-to-school and inter-board migration. With strict deadlines and specified fees, schools are advised to ensure that all procedures are completed on time to avoid complications. Students and parents should regularly check pseb.ac.in for updates and ensure timely submission of applications and documents.
