TEACHERS

The Ministry of Education’s Department of School Education and Literacy has announced the names of 45 outstanding teachers who will be honoured with the prestigious National Teachers’ Awards 2025. President Droupadi Murmu will present the awards on September 5, celebrated every year as Teachers’ Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

This year’s awardees include school teachers from across India, representing diverse regions, languages, and educational institutions. Notably, three teachers each from Maharashtra and Bihar, and two teachers each from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal have been selected. Additionally, five teachers from the Prime Minister Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) programme have also been honoured for their contributions.
