MY Bharat and SOUL Foundation Join Hands to Empower Over One Lakh Youth Leaders in India

In a significant step towards building a new generation of empowered and socially responsible young leaders, MY Bharat, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) Foundation. The collaboration aims to enhance youth leadership development, capacity building, and knowledge sharing across the nation.

The partnership envisions the development of over one lakh youth leaders in the 18–29 years age group over the next three years. These young leaders will be equipped with essential skills in governance, public policy, social entrepreneurship, digital literacy, financial literacy, and various other key domains. The initiative aligns with the government’s vision of nurturing socially conscious, skilled, and future-ready citizens who can contribute effectively to India’s development goals.

Diverse and Comprehensive Programs

Under the MoU, MY Bharat and SOUL Foundation will roll out a series of structured programs and activities aimed at holistic youth empowerment. These include:

  • Youth Leadership Programs: Structured training to build leadership qualities, decision-making skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Conclaves and Workshops: Platforms for idea exchange, interaction with experts, and exposure to real-world challenges.

  • Fellowships: Opportunities for youth to engage in governance, policy-making, and community-based projects.
  • Training of Institutions: Capacity building for educational and community institutions to mentor young leaders effectively.
  • Policy Research: Encouraging research and documentation of youth-related issues to shape impactful policies.
  • Exchange of Expertise: Sharing knowledge, best practices, and leadership models between the two organizations.
  • Online Quizzes and Engagements: Innovative and interactive tools to enhance awareness and participation.
  • Networking Events: Building a nationwide network of young leaders for collaborative problem-solving.

Launch of Online Leadership Program

A highlight of the collaboration is the planned online leadership program, which is expected to launch in September 2025. This program will use digital platforms to ensure wide accessibility, enabling youth from even the most remote regions to participate. With interactive modules, live sessions, and mentorship opportunities, the program will aim to create a vibrant ecosystem for leadership learning and application.

Impact and Long-Term Vision

By fostering leadership skills in young people, the MY Bharat–SOUL Foundation partnership seeks to create a multiplier effect, where trained youth leaders will, in turn, inspire and guide others in their communities. This aligns with India’s broader goals under initiatives like Amrit Kaal, which emphasize youth participation in nation-building.

Through this MoU, MY Bharat continues to reinforce its role as a facilitator and enabler of youth empowerment, while the SOUL Foundation brings its expertise in leadership training and grassroots engagement. Together, they aim to create a cadre of informed, confident, and socially responsible leaders ready to take on the challenges of the 21st century.

The collaboration stands as a testament to the belief that investing in youth leadership today will shape a stronger, more resilient India tomorrow.
