BSF Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2025 notification released: Apply for 3588 Posts

The Border Security Force (BSF) has announced a massive recruitment drive for the post of Constable (Tradesman), inviting online applications for a total of 3588 vacancies, including 3406 posts for male and 182 posts for female candidates. This recruitment aims to strengthen the operational workforce of BSF through skilled and disciplined personnel across various trades.

IMPORTANT DATES & APPLICATION FEE

The short notification was released on July 22, 2025, with the online application process starting from July 26, 2025. The last date to apply is August 24, 2025, up to 11:59 PM.

The application fee is Rs. 100 for General/OBC/EWS candidates, while SC/ST/Female applicants are exempted from the fee. Payment must be made through online mode only.

AGE LIMIT & ELIGIBILITY

As of August 24, 2025, candidates must be between 18 to 25 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

The educational qualifications vary based on the trade:

• For trades like Carpenter, Plumber, Painter, Electrician, Pump Operator, Upholsterer:
  • Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Two-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade; OR
  • One-year ITI certificate with one year of experience in the trade.

• For trades like Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Sweeper, Khoji, and Syce:
  • Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Selected candidates will be placed under the Pay Matrix Level-3, with a pay scale of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 along with applicable allowances as per Central Government norms. BSF also provides benefits such as medical care, pension, canteen facilities, and risk allowances.
