The Yashad Sumedha Scholarship 2025 is a visionary initiative by the Yashad Sumedha Organization in collaboration with Hindustan Zinc Limited, Udaipur, aimed at empowering bright yet financially challenged students from Rajasthan. The scholarship focuses on first-semester B.Tech students enrolled in government engineering colleges, particularly from the districts of Udaipur, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, and Ajmer.
This scholarship is not merely a financial grant but a mission to promote technical education among underprivileged youth. The program places a strong emphasis on inclusivity, offering preference to girls, orphaned students, single-parent families, and those falling under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. By doing so, it ensures that the most marginalized students have a chance to build a future through quality education.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be Indian citizens domiciled in Rajasthan.
- Be pursuing first semester B.Tech in a government college.
- Have scored more than 75% in Class 12 (though exceptions are made based on hardship criteria).
- Have a family income of less than ₹2,00,000 per annum.
- Belong to one of the five eligible districts.
Applicants must submit several documents, including:
- Online filled application form,
- Self-attested 10th and 12th marksheets,
- 5 passport-size photographs,
- Income certificate, BPL card, Pension Payment Order, or Death certificate (if applicable),
- Bank passbook copy, and
- A letter forwarded by the Head of the Institution confirming the student’s enrollment.
The last date for submission of hard copies is 15 October 2025.
Students who are already receiving the scholarship must maintain first-division marks to continue receiving support, ensuring academic accountability.
