The Malabar Charitable Trust has announced the opening of applications for its 2025 scholarship under the Empowering Education: Empowering Womenhood scheme. Launched in 2007, this initiative is a beacon of hope for girls from economically and socially underprivileged backgrounds. The scheme aims to uplift young women by providing financial support for their educational pursuits, thereby instilling in them confidence, self-respect, and the drive to succeed.
This scholarship is exclusively designed for female students currently enrolled in higher secondary or undergraduate degree courses in government or aided institutions across selected Indian states.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, candidates must have completed their 10th standard with at least 50% marks. Additionally, the program prioritizes students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Importantly, only students enrolled in full-time regular courses are eligible; distance education or correspondence students will not be considered.
BENEFITS
Selected students will receive a one-time financial assistance of up to ₹10,000 for the academic year. The scholarship amount will be determined based on a merit-cum-means evaluation process, ensuring that the most deserving candidates benefit from the program.
