The Dhrithi Foundation, based in Mangaluru, stands firm in its belief that education is the cornerstone of a strong and progressive nation. Recognizing the transformative power of learning, the foundation seeks to address the deep-rooted educational challenges that continue to persist in India—especially in rural and underprivileged regions. Despite decades of independence and development, a significant portion of India’s population remains illiterate. Adding to this concern are poorly equipped educational institutions, lack of faculty, and the overall decline in educational standards.
To combat these issues, the Dhrithi Foundation Scholarship 2025 aims to support deserving students from Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka, enabling them to pursue education without the burden of financial constraints. The foundation envisions nurturing responsible, thoughtful, and enterprising citizens who will contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
This scholarship is designed for students who have shown academic promise by securing more than 75% in their SSLC, PUC, or higher-level exams, and whose families have an annual income of ₹36,000 or less from all sources.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Karnataka, specifically from the Dakshina Kannada district.
- Minimum 75% marks in the most recent examination (SSLC/PUC or higher) is mandatory.
- Family’s total annual income must not exceed ₹36,000.
- Applications must include copies of marks cards and admission receipts (or a prospectus/letter from the college showing the fee structure).
- Only genuine candidates are encouraged to apply; representatives from the foundation may visit the student’s residence and parents’ workplace for verification.
