The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), a Deemed to be University under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has announced admissions for its Ph.D. (Management) Programme 2025. The programme, available in both Full-Time and Part-Time formats, will be offered at the Delhi and Kolkata campuses. Applications are invited from Indian as well as overseas candidates, with UGC-NET scores serving as the basis for shortlisting, followed by interviews.
PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS
The Ph.D. programme offers opportunities for in-depth research in diverse areas of management, including Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Organizational Behaviour & Human Resource Management, Operations & Supply Chain Management, IT Applications in Management, Global Trade Operations and Logistics
The minimum duration for the programme is three years, while the maximum is six years, extendable up to ten years for women and PwD candidates. Coursework classes will be held on weekends, making the programme ideal for working professionals.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade (Relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS candidates).
Candidates with a 4-year UG degree must have at least 75% marks. Holders of M.Phil. degrees or AIU-recognized postgraduate diplomas (e.g., PGDIM from IIMs) are also eligible. Final year students may apply provisionally.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Full-time Ph.D. scholars are eligible for a fellowship:
- ₹37,000month + HRA for the first two years
- ₹42,000month + HRA for the subsequent three years
APPLICATION FEE
- ₹2,500 for General/OBC/EWS candidates
- ₹1,250 for SC/ST/PwD candidates
