Azim Premji University has announced the 9th edition of its National Social Enterprise Idea Challenge, inviting submissions from students across India. Organized annually by the Social Enterprise Cell, this flagship event seeks to inspire young minds to ideate and innovate for social impact and sustainable development.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
This competition is open exclusively to students enrolled in Indian colleges, universities, and research institutions. Students are welcome to participate individually or in teams, including inter-institutional collaborations. The focus is on promoting social entrepreneurship among the youth and encouraging ideas that can lead to lasting change in communities.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR IDEA
Participants must follow a structured 4-step registration and submission process:
Step 1: Fill in basic details such as participant name, valid email ID, and academic program on the official registration page.
Step 2: Upon successful registration, participants will receive an email from Azim Premji University with further instructions.
Step 3: The email will contain a link to a Google Form, where participants must Enter the required details, Download a Word document, fill in the necessary information about their idea, and convert it into a PDF. Upload the completed PDF in Section 3 of the Google Form.
Step 4: After submission, a final confirmation email will be sent by the Social Enterprise Cell, confirming the successful entry.
Participants are advised to ensure accuracy and completeness in their submissions, as incomplete registrations may be disqualified.
WHAT’S AT STAKE?
The top 3 teams will be awarded cash prizes worth Rs 1.5 lakhs in total. In addition, winners will gain mentorship opportunities and access to valuable networks to help convert their ideas into viable social enterprises. This combination of funding and guidance provides a solid launchpad for transforming promising ideas into impactful organizations.
IMPORTANT DEADLINE
The last date to submit your idea is 31st July 2025. Students passionate about creating a better world through innovation are encouraged to register early and take full advantage of this unique opportunity.
