As per the UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar by allowing the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that provide programs in the regular mode to admit students twice a year it provides a Flexibility, as students can now apply twice a year, avoiding long waits if they miss the July / August session
He added it give Increased Access, with more opportunities for students to join their desired programmes, Aligning with the practice of international universities for enhancing collaborations, He further stated If Indian universities can offer admissions twice a year, it will benefit many students.
The candidates who missed admission in the July /August session due to a delay in the announcement of board examination results, health issues, or other personal reasons can get admission in January/ February.
