The Government of Karnataka, through the Department of School Education, has officially released the notification for the recruitment of 34,027 Guest Teachers in Government Primary Schools for the academic year 2025–26

Taluk wise list of Guest teachers to be filled on the basis of available vacant posts in Government Primary Schools has been released, Guest Teachers in Government Primary Schools to be paid monthly honorarium of Rs 12,000

The Government of Karnataka, through the Department of School Education, has officially released a significant notification for the recruitment of 51,000 Guest Teachers for the academic year 2025–26. This includes 40,000 positions for Primary School Guest Teachers and 11,000 positions for High School Guest Teachers across the state. The move aims to address the urgent need for teaching staff and ensure that the academic learning of students in government schools continues smoothly without disruption.

According to the notification, these appointments are temporary in nature and will remain in effect until the selection and placement of permanent teachers through formal recruitment processes. The decision comes in light of the ongoing shortage of teachers in government schools, which has posed a challenge to maintaining consistent educational delivery across Karnataka.
